The Wessex Transport Society was formed in 1983 by a handful of enthusiasts who had an interest in transport - mainly buses and trains.  

The objective of their Society is formed with the aim of, "Encouraging and promoting interest in all forms of transport, historic vehicles and the association of the owners of such vehicles".

Current membership is mainly from the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation, but they boast supporters from all over the United Kingdom!
