Over the past 20 years, I have been lucky to have been able to purchase 8 vintage buses
I and my friends are the custodians of these wonderful vehicles and I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work, dedication and TLC they give them and bring them back to life
Being born in Boscombe, Bournemouth, I am proud to come from such a wonderful town, full of wonderful buildings, beautiful beaches and a coastline any town in the world would be proud of, looking towards the Solent, Isle of Wight and to the Purbeck Hills
Bournemouth to me will always be home to the wonderful yellow corporation buses. When I returned the sight of a yellow bus coming towards me always was a great frill. Sad but true
My love from them started when I was often taken into town from home in Boscombe on a bus into town by my aunt Celia, who worked in one of the busy department stores of the time.
During the past 20 years I have been amazing fortunate to have made many, many great friends
With out them these old girls would not be preserved and certainly not enjoying an active life in preservation
Week on week the fleet gets lots of TLC and work to keep them on the road and in most cases actually put back on the road!
Just a few of those great friends are: Jack, Phil, William, Stuart and Susan Peter, Maurice, Jon, James, Vicky John, Gary, Chris, Derek and Julie, Mark, Malcolm Andy, Chris, Craig, Daniel, Janet, Brett and Jim and many, many others.
We are a great team. We have lots of fun and lots of tears. If you would like to join us let us know.
