3 July 2022

Saw the annual Bournemouth Bus Rally take place on the town's King's Park. Preserved Bournemouth buses attended from Devon, Yorkshire and more locally to the area. This was my first time attending the event, traveling over from Devon with 159, 167 & 262 and many of the Devon Gang! The 3 buses worked well over the 3 days, a liberal amount of water filling, a blown bulb and knackered wiper arm was about as much of an annoyance as we faced!

The trio back safely in Devon after a successful rally weekend.

Heading along the A35 near Puddletown in Dorset.

The evening after the rally tradition of taking a bus out for a fish n Chip supper for the rally drivers and volunteers. 262 doing the honors.

A photo stop on Bournemouth Seafront with 465, 208 & 262.

As the rally ends a line-up of the preserved Bournemouth buses attending on the day.

262 picking up a full load of rally goers at Kings Park.

Setting up the fencing, banners and gazebo.

Arriving at King's Park early to prepare the site for the rally.

Saw 159 attend the Taunton Bus Rally, based at Sheppy's Cider Farm at Bradford-on-Tone. The event was mainly for half-cabs, with a couple of exceptions. 159 operated a couple of trips on the 218 service to Bishop's Lydeard as a duplicate with Southdown Titan, AUF670.

16 April 2022

The weekend of 16th-17th April saw Weston-super-Mare host the Pageant of Transport vehicle gathering on the lawns on the seafront. The event is mostly made up of cars, along with a smattering of other vehicles. Included in this was a Land Rover fire engine which needed a little helping push for the final few yards. Thankfully it wasn't nearly as heavy as 159 or 465 so we were able to get it rolling almost as quickly as we then rolled into the café afterwards!

9th April 2022

Ahead of its first event appearance of the year next weekend, 159 has had some prep work done this past couple days including having her wheels repainted and today given a wash down.
